Inventory & branches

Track stock per branch, move it between locations, and audit it.

Branches

Go to Branches to manage your locations. Each branch keeps its own stock levels, and staff can be assigned to a branch.

Inventory

Inventory shows stock per branch. You can adjust quantities, set low-stock thresholds, and bulk-restock. Only physical products appear here. Service and digital products are not stock-tracked.

Alongside the main list:

  • Activity is the ledger. Every sale, restock, transfer, adjustment and return that moved a number is recorded here, so a total that looks wrong can be traced to what changed it.
  • Restock takes a delivery in, one product or a whole spreadsheet at a time.
  • Bulk uploads groups each spreadsheet as one batch you can review, and print labels for, after the fact.
  • Expiring lists dated stock that is near or past its date. See the Batches & expiry article.
  • Oversold shows where recorded sales exceeded recorded stock, which usually means a count is wrong rather than a sale is.

Moving stock

There are two different moves, and they are not interchangeable:

  • Branch transfer moves stock between your own branches, under Inventory → Transfers. The sending branch drops and the receiving branch gains.
  • Inter-tenant transfer sends stock to a different business on the platform, under Inter-tenant transfers. The receiving side has to accept it, and on acceptance they inherit your cost and sell price. See the Running more than one business article.

If you only run one business, you only need the first.

Stock audits

Use the moraAudit mobile app to count stock on the floor branch by branch, then review the variance before committing it. See the Mobile apps article.
