One account can belong to several businesses. Each is completely separate: its own catalogue, customers, staff, branches, orders and reporting. Nothing crosses between them by accident.
Creating another one
Create a new business from the business switcher. You become its owner, it gets its own web address immediately, and it starts empty. It does not inherit anything from the business you created it from.
Switching
Use the switcher at the top of the admin. It moves you between the businesses you belong to, including across their different web addresses, without signing in again.
Trading between them
Two businesses on the platform can send stock to each other under Inter-tenant transfers. This is not the same as moving stock between your own branches:
- A branch transfer moves stock inside one business.
- An inter-tenant transfer goes to a different business, and the receiving side has to accept it.
On acceptance the receiver books the sending business's cost as their own cost, and inherits the sell price, so the product arrives priced rather than blank. Product photos are shared rather than copied, and a photo the receiver sets themselves is never overwritten.
Staff are per business
Being staff in one business gives someone nothing in another. Invite them separately, with whatever role suits that business.
